Scam Alerts

With the advent of the internet came the computer Scam. Below are some of those scams. What to be aware of. What to do if you think you have been scammed.

DODGY EMAILS & PHONE CALLS

If it sounds too good to be true, it is a scam.
Most big companies will NEVER contact you, preferring the “let it fall over and the client will call us” methodology.

SOCIAL MEDIA PROGRAMS/APPS
If they do not enhance your life and you don’t enjoy using them DO NOT USE THEM.

ARE YOU GETTING THE INTERNET PROVIDER RUNAROUND?
I could write here how to speak to your provider to get them to help, but getting blood from a stone is a fools game. If you are not getting any help with your internet provider and they are not fixing your issue immediately. Contact the Telecommunication Industry Ombudsman on 1800 062 058 and throw them to the wolves. Internet Provider phone operators are there to get you off of the phone, NOT to help you.
